On Website Optimization
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) emerged primarily with the advent of search engines; without search engines, SEO would not have come into existence. Let's revisit search engines: they primarily serve to help internet users easily access the information they seek. If you want to search for a song but can't find it, or look for a movie but fail to locate it, or seek a knowledge point without success, you won't need it much longer. Such vast databases require continuous information gathering from the general public from the outset. As long as your content aligns with what the majority wants to see and your platform boasts high search volume, you'll rank higher (though illegal activities won't). This is a simplified explanation. Thus, while search engines constantly update algorithms and follow crawling rules, their methods are far less complex than corporations might think. However, claiming there's no technical involvement at all isn't entirely accurate either.
Currently, there are only two forms of search ranking in the market: one is the ranking format of corporate websites, and the other is the information display format. For example, even if you post your information on platforms like personal resumes you registered yourself, search engines will crawl and index it. Most online products revolve around these two aspects. Some may appear on commercial platforms related to the keywords you searched, while others may show up on news media platforms, encyclopedic knowledge, Q&A sites, or forums. For businesses, as long as their information can be found through keyword searches, they accept any format. This has led to a wide variety of optimization products in the market. However, many companies that have tried them often describe the results with just two words: "ineffective" and "scam." In my conversations with numerous businesses, I frequently hear such outcomes, which stem from a fundamental lack of understanding of online products by the companies themselves, leading to haphazard attempts and desperate measures.
